Berry finds his smile (The Berry and Wanda Series 1 Book 2) By Author Laura Wooldridge – Book Review

We all have days where we just don’t feel quite ourselves and this book is the perfect tale to share with younger ones who struggle to vocalise their feelings in such a situation!

Drawing upon the unique friendship between Wanda and Berry, the story explores the idea of Berry losing his charismatic smile and needing the helping hand of a friend to get it back.

Just like Wanda meets Berry, the book is adorned with awe inspiring colour and beautifully eccentric illustrations that you can’t help but be drawn to. Although the story is once again alluring and interesting, the rhyme doesn’t quite flow as well as it could with some word choices throwing both the sentences and rhythm off track.

The Book Dragon reviewed this magical story on behalf of the author and despite the title, couldn’t help but smile throughout. Comforting and entrancing, we award it 4 stars.
