Clementine Brodeur must untangle her dead mother’s legacy before the clock runs out. My name is Clementine and my magic is making me lose sleep. My two sisters and I have forty-eight hours to find someone our talented mother could not. If we don’t succeed, someone will die. My magic allows me to see memories the dead leave behind--which forces me to relive the moment my mother was attacked by fae. I must tell my sisters what I’ve seen, because I know what we need to do. Except I’m afraid they’re done with my “leap now, look later” escapades. They’ve had my back for over twenty years. Why wouldn’t they have it now?

Once Blessed Thrice Cursed (Sister Witches Book 1) By Author Coralie Moss – Book Review

Once Blessed Thrice Cursed written by Author Coralie Moss introduces the youngest of three sisters, Clementine, whose magic allows her to tap into story threads of events that have taken place in time. When the sisters are drawn into their mothers work and must pick up where she left off, Clementine’s magical abilities are called upon to find a person their mother could not. They have 48 hours, before someone dies. This spell bounding tale lays the foundations for what promises to be a great series for all fantasy readers.

Overall the story is well written, with very little to distract or drag the reader out of the story. The author has created some interesting characters, although some of the characters behaviours are questionable, and it is down to personal opinion whether the reader needed to know. Without giving spoilers I do refer to a certain demon with a forked tongue, and will leave it to your imagination. Some readers may find difficult to read and skip forward. Others who enjoy reading paranormal romances in a similar ilk less so.

Once Blessed Thrice Cursed, keeps the pages turning at a good pace, and there is a satisfactory ending that doesn’t leave the reading hanging, but very much looking forward to picking up the next book in the series, and reading more as the characters and relationships develop. Personally I really enjoyed this story, and wasn’t impacted by the visions conjured of the forked tongue demon, although perhaps for others less is more. Overall I award Book One a strong 4 stars.
