Parp & Trump of Windy Bottom by Author Jane Clack – Book Review

An eight-chapter short story, sure to delight proficient young readers of 7+ years. The main characters, Mr and Mrs Bogbrush seek to rid themselves of a terrible smell that suddenly pervades their home in Windy Bottom.

Children will be amused by the use of humorous and ‘punny’ character names and will particularly enjoy the ‘Fascinating Fart Facts’, factual information pages and flatulence jokes at the end of the story.

The simplistic, illustrative style appears a little dated, but despite this serves to highlight a few of the character-name jokes throughout the book.

I award 4 stars.
